Following consultation with the Institute of Kinesiology, Sport and Health, the University Library Graz will, from 1 June 2026, licence the following ‘Human Kinetics’ online journals, which will be accessible on campus and remotely via VPN:
- Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly (APAQ): from Volume 1, Issue 1 (1984) to the present
- Journal of Teaching in Physical Education (JTPE): from Volume 1, Issue 1 (1981) to the present
- International Sport Coaching Journal (ISCJ): from Volume 1, Issue 1 (2014) to the present
- Kinesiology Review: from Volume 1, Issue 1 (2012) to the present
- Sport History Review: from Volume 1, Issue 1 (1970) to the present
- Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (JSEP): from Volume 1, Issue 1 (1979) to the present
About Human Kinetics Journals:
Human Kinetics was founded in 1974 by Rainer Martens (then a professor of kinesiology at the University of Illinois) and his wife, Marilyn. Five years later, they published their first journal, the “Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology” (now fully licenced by the University Library Graz).
The “Human Kinetics Journals” broadly categorise their content into the following six subject areas:
- Sport & Exercise Science/Kinesiology
- Psychology & Behaviour in Sport/Exercise
- Social Studies in Sport & Physical Activity
- Physical Education & Coaching
- Athletic Training, Therapy & Rehabilitation
