Compass-Verlag provides over 2 million pages of research material on Central European economic history in ZEDHIA.

ZEDHIA also contains valuable resources for genealogical research:
- Personen-Compass: for searching for people in the Austro-Hungarian Empire
- Zentralblatt: information on all changes in companies in Austria
- Findbuch: Findbuch is a resource for searching for people who were murdered or expelled under National Socialism.
Research:
- Homepage: Publications are displayed and described. The pages are available in the original layout with a seamless zoom function.
- Search: Standard search (results sorted by date) - use filters to narrow down the results by date, publication or topic.
- Quick search shows the text passages found straight away.
- Results list: (expanded or compact) shows the number of results contained in each publication. The eye symbol leads to the preview mode, with the search terms highlighted in red.
The database is licenced by the library for the University of Graz. It is accessible via the search portal unikat and the database information system DBIS. Please note both the library’s and the publisher’s terms of use.
To use some of the functions, you need to register. This is optional and free of charge. The University Library accepts no liability for the provider processing your data.
The database is accessible from anywhere on campus, and university members can also access it remotely via VPN. Please note: If profiles are shown in the VPN drop-down menu, please select Universitaetsbibliothek. If not, please enter https://univpn.uni-graz.at/ub in the VPN address field.
