Hanna Gottlieb-Zimmermann, an English scholar and cultural scientist at the University of Graz, contrasts the female perspective on pregnancy and childbirth with the male-dominated medical discourse on reproduction in 17th-century England. Using interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) from a feminist literary-critical standpoint, she examines the texts from three different angles, situating them within the context of current research to facilitate a better socio-historical understanding of the subject matter.
The volume has now been published as part of the series GEWI AUSGEZEICHNET : Abschlussarbeiten and is available for download free of charge.
