Wiso and Zedhia (Almanach)

Wiso und Zedhia (Almanach)

WISO's new interface and ZEDHIA, renamed Almanach, is now part of the Wirtschafts-Compass.

WISO:

The new WISO interface went live on 30 June 2025. The provider Genios has published a relaunch guide that clearly explains the changes and the new navigation using annotated screenshots. The guide contains lists of what has stayed the same (identical content and data; search operators; sorting of the results list; personal settings such as watch lists and monitoring), and the new features:

•    modernised, cleaner interface (compatible with desktops, tablets and smartphones)

•    navigation within the tables of contents

•    new semantic filters

•    advanced search and filter options, which can be shown or hidden as required

•    search results can be displayed as either a list or tiles

•    thesauri are now integrated directly into the bibliographies

ZEDHIA:

In July 2025, the digital archive for economic and social history ZEDHIA was integrated into the Wirtschafts-Compass and renamed Almanach. Users can log in to Almanach by using this link and clicking on ‘Uni Graz Auto-Login’.

ZEDHIA will no longer be accessible from the end of August 2025.

ZEDHIA is based on the Compass archive at the Compass-Verlag GmbH headquarters in Vienna, which houses all of Compass-Verlag's publications from 1868 to 2003. Until now, all Compass-Verlag publications have been available online via ZEDHIA. Now, ZEDHIA's content can be found in Almanach in the Wirtschafts-Compass, allowing users to benefit from a centralised search interface
