Off-site access to ‘Kleine Zeitung’ and ‘Die Presse’ suspended until further notice

PressReader: bis auf weiteres Entfall der Fernzugriffsoption auf „Kleine Zeitung“ und „Die Presse“

Please note that from September, remote (off-campus) access to the ‘Kleine Zeitung’ and ‘Die Presse’ via PressReader will be blocked. Users on campus will still have unrestricted access to both publications.

From 1 September 2025, remote access to the ‘Kleine Zeitung’ and ‘Die Presse’ will no longer be permitted for any Austrian library.

What this means:

  • Off campus: from 1 September 2025, users who access PressReader remotely (off campus via VPN) will no longer be able to access these two publications.
  • On campus: on-site users will still be able to access these two publications.

Duration of the restriction:

The publisher has introduced these restrictions as part of an evaluation phase due to a recent access issue. The publisher may decide to extend the restrictions beyond this phase.
