The Business Source Premier database provides access to full-text articles from a large number of academic and practice-oriented titles, with a particular focus on journals from key fields such as accounting, finance, marketing, and management. The content is continuously updated and, for many major publications, includes both archived volumes and current issues, enabling both timely and historical analysis.
In addition to journals, the database offers structured market and company information. This includes industry and market reports from reputable providers, detailed company profiles with SWOT analyses, country and economic reports with a macroeconomic focus, case studies and conference papers, as well as the latest economic news.
Precise searches, by topic, individual, or publication, are made possible through the assignment of monitored and finely tuned keywords. Users can easily check the relevance of information thanks to consistent bibliographic details and abstracts. In terms of content, the database covers the spectrum from business administration and economics to specialist areas such as supply chain management and management information systems.
The database is updated at short intervals, ensuring that research literature and market-relevant information are available promptly. The collection has an international scope, with a focus on English-language content.
There is a wide range of search options, including filtering by publication type, peer review status, time period, subject and language. You can search by author, keyword or journal to get specific results, while citation tools make it easier to work with the data. The full texts are available as PDFs and often also in HTML, with download and export options for literature management programmes. Registered users can also create projects in their profile, save searches and activate email notifications for new search results.
Business Source Premier is just one of the many EBSCOhost databases that the University of Graz licenses. On the platform, you can select one or more of these databases to do simultaneous literature searches. For information on using the EBSCOhost databases, take a look at these links:
