Ramadan, Christian Lent and Passover are sacred times of pause and spiritual renewal in different faith traditions. Despite their differences, these festivals share a common core: the search for connection with the divine and the pursuit of a life of compassion and charity. In a time of global crisis and conflict, these religious traditions remind us of our common humanity and nurture the hope of peaceful coexistence across borders and dividing lines.
In keeping with these times of religious reflection, our Media Library offers a selection of films and documentaries that shed light on different facets of faith. The documentary “Jews and Christians help Muslims” impressively shows how interfaith solidarity can be put into practice. “Islam - Religion, History and Culture” provides a deeper insight into the world of Ramadan and the world's third largest religion. “Pope Francis - a man of his word” portrays the head of the Catholic Church and his message of charity, which is particularly important during Lent. Beyond the Abrahamic religions, “World Tour with Buddha - In Search of Bliss” introduces the teachings of Buddhism and its universal wisdom. For anyone interested in the big questions of life, “On the Trail of Heaven” offers a journalist's personal journey in search of evidence of life after death.
