FRONTIERS
The University of Graz has recently concluded a contract with the publisher Frontiers, starting in 2024. Authors affiliated with the University of Graz can now publish in all Frontiers journals as well as in Frontiers Hosted Journals. All article types are eligible for funding.

WILEY
As of 2024, authors affiliated with the University of Graz can publish in Wiley's Gold OA journals as well as their hybrid journals. Please note that Wiley uses the date of acceptance to determine the eligibility of an article in a hybrid journal, but the date of submission for Gold Open Access journals. There are also changes to the eligible article types. The following types are now eligible:
Case studies, commentaries, data articles, educations, lectures, methods and protocols, perspectives, practices and policies, rapid publications, research articles, review articles, short communications and technical notes

ELSEVIER
Authors can now get funding for more article types in Elsevier journals. In Elsevier and Cell Press hybrid journals, the following article types are now eligible for funding:
Full-length articles, review articles, case reports, data-in-brief, microarticles, original software publications, practice guidelines, protocols, replication studies, short communications, short surveys and video articles.

“Reports on Progress in Physics”
Under the current transformative agreement, the journal status of "Reports on Progress in Physics" has changed from "subscription only" to "hybrid". This opens up a new opportunity for authors affiliated with the University of Graz to publish primary research in Open Access. "Reports on Progress in Physics" has an Impact Factor of 18 for 2022 (according to the Web of Science JCR), the highest Impact Factor amongst all of IOP's journals.
