The Special Collections, with their four units Collection, Restoration, Digitization, and Research Center Vestigia, are among the most innovative collections of old books in Europe. Among the internationally sought-after and particularly sought-after highlights is the Graz Camera Table for digitizing valuable unique items, which is sold worldwide and was developed in-house by the collection.
The holdings extend beyond the beginnings of the Jesuit Library in 1573 and include papyri, medieval and modern manuscripts, prints up to 1900, maps, atlases, facsimiles and the contents of various archives.
