Dhe specialized library Translation Studies is an important service facility for scholars and students of the of the Institute for Theoretical and Applied Translation Studies. It is a public, scientific library with open access, i.e. the required media are freely accessible and can be taken from the shelves.
Collection focus Translation Studies
by languages: Albanian; Arabic; English; French; Italian; Russian; Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian (Serbo-Croatian); Slovenian; Spanish; Turkish; Hungarian; sign languages;
factual: translation studies approaches, literary translation, multimedia translation, Bible translation, transcultural professional communication (incl. field of terminology), interpreting studies (especially community interpreting and sign language interpreting), translation history, translation sociology, translation and cognition, professional practice, translation didactics, IT in translation; monolingual and multilingual reference works, language and translation textbooks, grammars, foreign language non-fiction and technical literature, regional and cultural studies.
Borrow and use media
The loan period for the majority of the holdings is 30 days, for AV media 7 days. Literature from semester handbooks and reference works can be borrowed for the duration of the closing periods. Periodicals are excluded from the loan period.
During the library's closing hours, a book return box is available for the duration of the building's opening hours.
