The English/American Studies Library is an important service facility for scholars and students of the of the Institute of English Studies and the Institute of American Studies. It is a public, scientific library with open access, i.e. the required media are freely accessible and can be taken from the shelves.

Borrow and use media
Most of the holdings of the Departmental Library of English and American Studies can be borrowed for 30 days.
Journals and books published before 1901 are not eligible for loan.
