In this presentation, I will give an overview of the different journals in the Nature Portfolio: what are the profiles and the editorial criteria of the different journals; how to choose the best journal for your paper; what are the different content types, etc. Then I will give insights into the editorial process: what is happening behind the scenes from the moment you submit a paper up to acceptance and publication; how do we make editorial decisions; what makes a paper a strong contender for review and what are common reasons for a desk rejection; how to approach the peer review process, etc. In the end of the presentation there will be time for questions and discussion.
