JSTOR (Journal STORage) enthält rund 12 Millionen wissenschaftliche Zeitschriftenartikel aus über 2600 Fachzeitschriften aus 75 Disziplinen, die digitalisiert im Volltext zur Verfügung gestellt werden. JSTOR selbst ist kein eigener Verlag, sondern fungiert als Plattform mit einheitlicher Oberfläche und vielfältigen verlagsübergreifenden Recherchemöglichkeiten.
Das Zeitschriftenarchiv JSTOR erschließt Zeitschrifteninhalte von ihrem ersten Jahrgang bis zur sogenannten „moving wall“ (von den Verlagen vergebene Sperrfrist für jüngst erschienene Inhalte), die 1 bis 10 Jahre umfasst; aktuelle Ausgaben werden von JSTOR nicht angeboten.
Zahlreiche Zeitschriften stehen an der Universität Graz sowohl über eine Verlagslizenz (aktuelle Jahrgänge) wie auch über JSTOR (Archivjahrgänge) zur Verfügung, damit ist der Volltextzugang zu allen je erschienenen Ausgaben dieser Titel möglich. So stehen z.B. für die „VSWG Vierteljahrschrift für Sozial- und Wirtschaftsgeschichte“ über JSTOR und die Verlagslizenz alle Volltexte seit dem Jahr 1903 bis zu den aktuellen Ausgaben zur Verfügung.

Der Zugang zu den lizenzierten Volltexten ist innerhalb des Campus ohne Anmeldung und für Angehörige der Universität von außerhalb mit VPN möglich. Beim ersten Einstieg in JSTOR werden Sie aufgefordert, den Nutzungsbedingungen zuzustimmen.

JSTOR (Journal STORage) contains around 12 million scientific articles from over 2600 journals covering 75 scientific fields. The articles are available as full texts in digital form. JSTOR is not a publisher itself, but serves as a platform with a consistent user interface offering a variety of options for research across the different publishers.
JSTOR’s archive offers journal content from the first year of publication up to the so-called “moving wall”, an embargo period on the newest content, defined by the publisher, which can be anywhere from 1 to 10 years. This means that JSTOR does not provide access to the most recent journal issues, but, through the combination of JSTOR, (archived issues), and publisher’s licences, (current issues), the University of Graz can offer access to the full texts of many journals for every issue published. For example, the full texts of “VSWG Vierteljahrschrift für Sozial- und Wirtschaftsgeschichte“ are available all the way from 1903 up to the current issue.

The University of Graz is expanding its licensed JSTOR portfolio to include the following collections:

JSTOR content available at the University of Graz, as well as the open and free content can be accessed for research as usual via unikat, the EZB or DBIS. Access to the licensed full texts is possible on campus without registering, and, for members of the university, from outside the campus via VPN. First time users of JSTOR will be asked to agree to the terms of use.
